Maktubad Sharif: The Persian word Maktubad means letter. The term refers to the Noble Letters of Imam Rabbani Mujaddid Alf-e Sani Sheikh Ahmad Faruqi Sirhindi (R.) (971-1034 Hizri)

Among the prophets and Oli-Awlia from the beginning of the world to the end, who have come and gone, are present and will come till the end of the world for the guidance to mankind and for the true welfare of the human life that is ongoing for eternity, Hazrat Mujaddid (R.) was a unique creation of Allah. He was the first person in the Muhammadan Ummah after the Companions of prophet (SAW) to be given the complete knowledge of Allah’s three main levels of knowledge: the fullness in proximity, the fullness in prophethood and the level of invitation. He was not only given complete marifa but also was allowed to publish a detailed description of all the marifa in written form. In the history of the world, this revelation of full knowledge of marifa has not been seen in written form by others. This unique blessing has given him a special status among all human groups.


In his lifetime, he has written many letters to his disciples, family members, and men of state and of influence in different contexts and situations. From these, important letters are collected and published, which is known as ‘Maktubad Sharif’ whose light and blessings will continue till the Day of the end of the world. Here, he explains so many things in Sharia, including complete marifa (Knowing Allah), and wishes the majority to summarise all of these marifa to take a clear picture of all marifa as a whole. For that, a book written by Md Nural Ahad known as ‘Knowing Our Creator’ collects all of the letters that are related to marifa and summarises those marifa as a whole, exactly what Imam Mujaddid (R.) wished for 400 years ago.
